Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto and King Abdullah II of Jordan focused their bilateral meeting at Basman Palace in Amman on Wednesday (25/2/2026) on the escalating crisis in Palestine, specifically addressing the dire situations in Gaza and the West Bank.
During the final leg of his state visit on 24 and 25 February 2026, President Prabowo expressed deep concern over ongoing violence by Israeli forces in the West Bank, warning it could derail peace efforts led by the Board of Peace (BoP).
“We are very worried about the incidents occurring in the West Bank. We feel these events could hinder any success we are collectively trying to achieve in Gaza,” President Prabowo said to the Jordanian monarch, as cited by antaranews.com.
King Abdullah II praised Indonesia’s support for the Palestinian cause, highlighting President Prabowo’s "courageous commitment" to regional stability. Both leaders agreed to intensify coordination between their respective governments to anticipate shifting security dynamics.
The meeting, attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya, reaffirmed Indonesia's stance in seeking a humanitarian resolution for the Palestinian people.
