Inp.polri.go.id - Rio de Janeiro.  President Prabowo Subianto departed from Galeão Air Base in Rio de Janeiro to Brasília, the capital of Brazil, on Monday (7/7/2025) to attend a bilateral meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

He arrived at the airport one hour before departure, shortly after completing his agenda at the 17th BRICS Summit, which was held in Rio de Janeiro on 6 and 7 July 2025.

President Prabowo was seen off by Marcia Maro, the Head of Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office for the State of Rio de Janeiro, and Colonel Andrei, Deputy Commander of Galeão Air Base. He was also accompanied at the airport by Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir.

The Presidential Aircraft departed at 2.30 pm local time, with Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya accompanying the President on board.

The flight from Rio de Janeiro to Brasília is estimated to take 1.5 hours.

While in Brasília, President Prabowo is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday, as part of Indonesia’s effort to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations with Brazil.
