Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has ordered that the deadly floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra be handled as a national priority, ensuring full mobilization of central government resources. 

“The President instructed that this situation be treated as a national priority, with guarantees that national funds and logistics are fully available,” Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno said during a press conference on Wednesday (3/12/2025). 

When asked whether this instruction should be interpreted as elevating the disaster status to a national disaster, he clarified that “the disaster is being handled at the national level”, as reported by antaranews.com.

All ministries, the Indonesian Military (TNI), and the Indonesian National Police (INP)  have been directed to intensify rescue operations, accelerate aid distribution, and restore vital services. 

Minister Pratikno stressed that every agency must maximize its response to meet hourly needs of affected communities.

At Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, key officials, including Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and INP Chief General Listyo Sigit PRabowo,joined the briefing on national efforts.

The floods, which struck on 25 Novembe 2025r, have left 804 people dead and 634 missing.
