Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on Wednesday (3/12/2025) ordered a full evaluation of airdrop aid delivery to isolated communities in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra to ensure that food and emergency supplies remain intact.
“We strengthened the sealing and packaging, and we will lower helicopter altitude to keep the logistics safe during airdrop,” he said, as reported by antaranews.com.
Chief Sigit confirmed that helicopters have been delivering ready-to-eat meals, clean water, blankets, medicines, and other essentials to remote villages in North Tapanuli and Central Tapanuli. Aid was dropped in Pagaran Lambung, Naga Timbul, and Nauli, where residents have been cut off for days.
He also explained that 16 people previously detained for looting supermarkets in North Sumatra’s Sibolga have been released, noting they were disaster survivors seeking food.
