Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed his commitment in Jakarta on Sunday (22/3/2026) to transform Indonesia’s law enforcement agencies, including the Indonesian Military (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (INP), to strengthen the rule of law and restore public trust in state institutions.
"The rule of law is a vital component of a strong and successful nation," he said said during a strategic discussion at his Hambalang residence, as reported by antaranews.com.
The President emphasized that professional integrity is mandatory, warning that rogue officers possessing power cannot be allowed to tarnish the reputation of hundreds of thousands of dedicated personnel.
While granting institutions an initial opportunity for internal cleansing, President Prabowo asserted that the government will intervene directly if reforms stagnate. He specifically questioned how illegal activities, such as unauthorized mining, could bypass local oversight.
Highlighting past actions, the President noted that several high-ranking generals have already been dismissed and prosecuted, proving that no official is above the law in his administration’s pursuit of national transformation.
