Speaking at the 2026 National Coordination Meeting in Bogor on Monday (2/2/2026), the President highlighted that world leaders at the recent World Economic Forum in Davos expressed growing fears of a Third World War. He emphasized that conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza continue to impact Indonesia’s economic and national security.
“My foreign policy philosophy is a thousand friends are too few, one enemy is too many,” President Prabowo said, reaffirming Indonesia’s commitment to its "free and active" diplomatic principle.
The President stressed that Indonesia will remain non-aligned and refuse to join any military pacts, echoing the country's historic stance amid ideological shifts. He instructed government officials to fully comprehend these global challenges to protect national interests.
