Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto called on Indonesians to remain united and vigilant against foreign interference during a speech marking the anniversary of Pancasila, the nation’s foundational ideology, on Monday (2/6/2025).
“Differences should not divide us. That’s what foreign powers want,” he said, warning of efforts to destabilize Indonesia through engineered social rifts.
He claimed that certain foreign countries continue to fund non governmental organizations (NGOs) to incite domestic conflict, drawing parallels to Indonesia’s colonial past.
“They’ve done it for centuries—now they use money and NGOs to divide us,” the President said, as quoted by antaranews.com
Prabowo stressed that his message was not anti-foreign but a call for awareness.
“I’m not saying we should distrust other nations. But we must not be manipulated,” he added, urging the country to rely on its own strength in facing global challenges.
