Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) reported a new milestone of 7,001,268 stock investors as of 26 May 2025, up from 6.38 million at the end of 2024.

BEI Development Director Jeffrey Hendrik said on Monday (2/6/2025) that the increase occurred despite global uncertainty due to U.S. import tariffs. During the Eid holiday, over 38,000 new investors joined in just two weeks.

“This reflects strong optimism toward Indonesia’s economic prospects,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Jeffrey credited the rise to collaboration with OJK, SROs, and stakeholders, as well as digital outreach through IDX Mobile and social media.

BEI also expanded its nearly 1,000 investment galleries and trained over 6,000 capital market ambassadors nationwide. Stock literacy programs like “Sekolah Pasar Moda” l and investor webinars continue boosting financial literacy.

BEI CEO Iman Rachman added that institutional investor participation is also a strategic focus to build a transparent and inclusive capital market.
