Inp.polri.go.id - Kuala Lumpur. President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport's Bunga Raya Complex on Thursday morning (9/1/2025) for a private visit and a luncheon with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
During the visit, President Prabowo is scheduled to discuss strategies to bolster bilateral relations and exchange views on global and regional issues with PM Anwar.
"Both leaders will have lunch together and share perspectives on global conditions and the relationship between the two nations," said Presidential Secretariat Deputy Yusuf Permana in a statement, as quoted by antaranews.com.
President Prabowo departed Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase at 7 am, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. It marked Prabowo's first visit to Malaysia since taking office.
The two leaders previously met in October 2024 during PM Anwar's attendance at Prabowo’s inauguration in Jakarta. Malaysia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the visit’s significance in exploring new opportunities and enhancing bilateral cooperation.
