Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.President Prabowo Subianto issued a stern warning to former State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) leaders on Monday (2/2/2026), signaling potential legal action over the past management of national assets.
Speaking at a national coordination meeting in Sentul, the President highlighted that the consolidation of state wealth into the newly formed Danantara sovereign wealth fund has exposed historical inefficiencies.
The transition involves centralizing approximately $1.04 trillion in assets previously scattered across roughly 1,040 state entities, according to antaranews.com.
“Former SOE leaders must take responsibility. Do not think you can just walk away; prepare to be summoned by the Attorney General’s Office,” President Prabowo declared, emphasizing that the era of fragmented management, which he described as a "ruse" to avoid oversight, is over.
The President asserted that placing all state economic power under a single management body is vital for transparency and the public interest. He noted that the previous system made it nearly impossible to monitor a thousand individual companies effectively, creating loopholes for irregularities.
