inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. Lampung Police Chief (Kapolda Lampung), Inspector General Drs. Hendro Sugiatno, M.M., asked the public not to buy cooking oil repeatedly to prevent the scarcity of the stocks. Kapolda Lampung repeatedly emphasized that the stock of cooking oil in Lampung is safe and sufficient for the province.
Kapolda Lampung also asked the public not to panic by buying up cooking oil more than enough or even worse, hoarding cooking oil.
"Don't ever try to hoard this cooking oil by shopping repeatedly. We are concerned that people will actually hoard cooking oil by doing that," said Kapolda Lampung, Wednesday (16/3/2022).
Kapolda Lampung himself has directly inspected the packing and stocking process at the cooking oil producer's warehouse, PT. Tunas Baru, Lampung, on Tuesday (15/3/2022) afternoon.
"I have seen the cooking oil production directly, and I can assure you that the stock is enough for the whole province," he said.
It is reported that the consumption of cooking oil in Lampung reaches 6 million liters per month, while the production of all producers reaches 9 million liters per month. For PT. Tunas Baru Lampung itself produced around 120 thousand liters of cooking oil per day.
"I guarantee that the distribution of cooking oil in Lampung goes directly from the company to retail stores, so there is no need for a long distribution chain," he concluded.
