inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Metro Jaya Police has a special program to prevent student brawls which often result in fatalities. The program is called police goes to school. The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Endra Zulpan, said that the program has been routinely carried out by the Bhayangkara Security and Order Instructor for the Community (Bhabinkamtibmas) which is under the auspices of the Resort Police and Sectoral Police. "Metro Jaya Police, in accordance with the policy of the Regional Police Chief, we have the ‘Police is Here’ program. In this program, prioritized the Bhabinkamtibnas personnel from the Sectoral Police to the Resort Police," Zulpan said, quoted from his statement, Saturday, July 30, 2022. The Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police said that police officers would educate the students about the dangers of brawls. And after the personnel educate the students, a banner containing an appeal not to brawl will be installed. In the program, Metro Jaya Police will try to prevents students from joining motorcycle gangs and using drugs. According to him, motorcycle gangs often lead to involvement in brawls and illegal races. "We will also go to their parents, because a lot of them don't know their children are involved in motorcycle gangs, drugs or brawls," said Commissioner Endra Zulpan.
