inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-Terror collaborated with former terrorist convicts as Prevention Ambassadors to conduct a socialization campaign on the prevention of intolerance, radicalism, extremism, and terrorism (IRET) at the South Sumatra Regional Police Headquarters on Tuesday (2/10/2026).

"This activity aims to raise public awareness of the dangers of IRET and strengthen collaboration in terrorism prevention," said Brigadier Ganna Saputra, a member of the Densus 88 Anti-Terror team.

The event was attended by 500 participants, including representatives of the South Sumatra Regional Police's high-ranking officers, police officers within the South Sumatra Regional Police jurisdiction, and junior non-commissioned officers (NCOs).

A former terrorist convict from South Sumatra, Mr. Abdurrahman Taib, also shared his experiences and encouraged the public to collaborate in preventing the new trend of terror attacks targeting young people.

The event proceeded safely and smoothly, with interactive sharing sessions and questions from invited guests.
