The Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-Terror of Indonesian National Police (INP) outreached the Intolerance, Radicalism, Extremism, and Terrorism (IRET), Violence and Sadistic Behaviour Prevention Program at Palangka Raya 9 Junior High School on Wednesday (1/21/2026).
This activity was attended by 54 public and private junior high school principals from across Palangka Raya City.
This program is a collaboration between Densus 88 AT and the Palangka Raya City Education Office. The goal is to provide vaccinations to school principals to prevent exposure to ideologies inconsistent with Indonesia.
First Police Inspector Ganjar Satriyono, was assigned to deliver the outreach on strategies to prevent IRET ideology and the spread of violent and sadistic ideologies among the younger generation. He emphasized that terrorism is not limited to one religion and that all religions have the potential to be exposed to terrorist ideology.
"Currently, young men and women are the primary targets for recruitment by terrorist groups. It is essential to provide education to the younger generation so they are not exposed to erroneous ideologies and can work together to prevent and combat IRET ideology," said Ganjar.
This activity is expected to raise awareness among school principals about the importance of preventing IRET ideology and creating a safe, comfortable, and peaceful school environment.
