PSSI Sanctions Five Clubs for Disciplinary Violations

In recent decisions, the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI)'s Disciplinary Committee handed down sanctions to Persiraja Banda Aceh, Malut United, Dewa United, Persikabo, and Semen Padang clubs, following hearings in March 2024. Persiraja was fined Rp 15 million for failing to provide transport for the visiting team before a Liga 2 match against Malut United on March 5. Malut United was fined a Rp 25 million for disciplinary violations by five players during their match against Persiraja, as reported by antaranews.com on Sunday (24/3/2024) Dewa United was fined Rp 25 million for inadequate preparation regarding Persikabo supporters' presence during their 7 March 2024 match. Persikabo was also fined of Rp 25 million due to their fans' attendance at the same match. On 16 March 2024, Semen Padang was fined Rp 10 million and banned from hosting one match with spectators for insufficient security measures for the visiting team. Semen Padang faced a hefty Rp 100 million fine for various incidents during their match against PSBS Biak. In addition, Semen Padang received a ban on hosting three matches without spectators. Faisal Hamid, a Bhayangkara FC staff member, was banned from matches for 12 months and fined Rp 50 million for spitting at match officials. Firza Andika of Persija Jakarta received a two-match ban and a Rp 10 million fine for a serious foul against a Persik player. Agung Setia Budi of Persik Kediri received a stern reprimand for excessive protests against match officials. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
