Several appreciations were given to the Indonesian National Police (INP) for securing the Christmas Eve Mass celebration in Indonesian churches, one of which was in Jakarta. Pastors and congregations also acknowledged that the security carried out by the police provided a sense of security and comfort for worship.

The Pastor of the Indonesian Christian Church (GKI) Samanhudi, Frida Situmorang also expressed his gratitude for the attention of INP Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who had assigned police personnel to secure the Christmas celebration.

"So far, we from the church parties are very grateful for the extraordinary attention from police as the Christmas Eve celebration is going very well. The security from the police has given us a sense of peace to all the congregation in celebrating Christmas. We sincerely thank you," thanked the pastor as quoted on Wednesday (12/25/2024).

The Chairman of the GPIB Immanuel Abraham Ruben Persang Congregation Council also thanked the police for securing Christmas 2024.

"We are very grateful because of the security provided by the authorities, especially the police. Frankly, we are grateful and appreciate what the authorities have done," he said.

Not much different, the GKI Samanhudi congregation, Regi, also expressed his gratitude to the security forces and hopes that the Christmas celebration in Indonesia will continue to run safely, peacefully, and smoothly.

"We as the coordinator of the Samanhudi church are very enthusiastic for this day and from the first time we arrived at two in the afternoon, friends from the police and military forces are all very kind, thank you to you, sir,” thanked Regi.

On the other hand, General Sigit conveyed his hopes that his personnel would be able to secure and protect the Christmas celebration in Jakarta, especially in Indonesia.
