Inp.polri.go.id - Rejang Lebong. The rare Rafflesia arnoldii, the world’s largest flower, has bloomed again in Selamat Sudiarjo Village, Bermani Ulu District, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, on Tuesday (16/12/2025), drawing attention from conservationists and local authorities.

“This Rafflesia arnoldii with five petals is now in its perfect blooming phase,” said local Rafflesia observer Saikul Latief, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The flower, estimated to be in its third day of full bloom, appeared near the same site where two similar flowers bloomed in late November 2025. The area is known as a natural habitat for Rafflesia, with at least seven growth locations identified in the village.

Local police and village officials are actively educating residents and visitors to protect the habitat. The bloom has also attracted national and international interest, including researchers from abroad.
