Badminton mixed double pair Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto and Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja fought their way into the final of the 2025 German Open, overcoming a tough challenge from India’s Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto in a gripping three-game match at Westenergie Sporthalle, Mulheim, on Saturday (1/3/2025).

The pair started strong, dictating the pace with aggressive play. They led 11-7 at the interval but had to withstand a late comeback before sealing the first game 25-23. 

However, the momentum shifted in the second game as Dhruv and Tanisha tightened their defense, leaving Rehan and Gloria struggling to find answers. The Indian duo leveled the match with a commanding 21-10 win, according to antaranews.com.

Refusing to back down, Rehan and Gloria adjusted their strategy in the decider, opting for a more controlled approach. Locked at 12-12, they found their rhythm and surged ahead, eventually closing out the match 21-15.

With the victory, Rehan and Gloria enter their second final of the year and will face the European duo Robin Tabeling (Netherlands) and Alexandra Boje (Denmark) in the Super 300 final.
