Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo inaugurates the Kapuas I Duplication Bridge on Thursday (3/21/2024). Following the inauguration of the bridge, Jokowi claims the people of Pontianak could immediately use it. “We are grateful that the Kapuas I Duplication Bridge is completed and the bridge with the cost of IDR 275 billion, length of 430 meter and the width of 8 meter, is officially inaugurated. The bridge will connect the central of Pontianak City and East Pontianak district,” says Jokowi. The inauguration was also attended by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, Head of House of Representatives Commission V, Lasarus, West Kalimantan Acting Governor, Harisson and the Acting Regent of Pontianak, Ani Sofian. The construction of Kapuas I Duplication Bridge has been long awaited by the people of Pontianak as there is often traffic jams around the area. (ad/sy/pr/nm)
