inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Public Relations of Operation Ketupat 2026, provided an update on the public order and security situation on the 13th day of the operation. Overall, the security and public order situation was observed to be well maintained, with no significant incidents.
The spokesperson for the Operation Ketupat 2026, Senior Superintendent Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, revealed that based on daily reports, the number of public order and security disturbances recorded was 1,387.
"Generally, the public order and security situation during Operation Ketupat 2026 up to the 13th day was observed to be conducive, with no significant incidents. We continue to optimize services to the public, especially during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return journey," said Jansen.
From this data, 1,288 crimes, 18 violations, 8 disasters, and 73 other disturbances were recorded. Meanwhile, in the traffic sector, 226 accidents were recorded, resulting in 12 fatalities, 73 serious injuries, and 440 minor injuries. The resulting material losses amounted to IDR 226,150,000.
To enforce traffic laws, the Indonesian National Police (INP) recorded 10 violations through the ETLE system and issued 27 warnings to people violating the traffic law as a preventative measure to raise public awareness.
Regarding traffic flow, the volume of vehicles leaving Jakarta through the four main toll gates reached 135,724 vehicles, a 2.77 percent increase compared to normal conditions. However, this figure represents an 11.98 percent decrease compared to the previous year's Eid al-Fitr holiday period.
Conversely, the flow of vehicles entering Jakarta showed a significant increase. 256,338 vehicles entered the capital, a 99.02 percent increase compared to normal volumes and a 14.87 percent increase compared to last year.
"The return flow of passengers has begun to increase significantly. Therefore, we urge the public to plan their travel time wisely, take advantage of the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy, and pay attention to their physical and vehicle conditions before traveling," explained Jansen.
Furthermore, public mobility in the public transportation sector remains quite high. Ferry ferry trips recorded 1,438 trips with a total of 496,130 passengers. Meanwhile, train trips recorded 2,707 trips with 1,475,203 passengers, and the aviation sector recorded 2,473 flights with 311,047 passengers.
Police reminded the public to prioritize safety while traveling, especially to tourist destinations and crowded areas.
