The Riau Island Regional Police Public Relations Division Chief, Senior Superintendent Zahwani Pandra Arsyad emphasized that police are ready to secure the 2024 General Election from beginning to end. During a gathering in Hotel Golden View on Wednesday (2/7/2024) with media colleagues to knit a stronger cooperation between the two. Zahwani says the two parties must work together in presenting positive news to the people, especially as the 2024 General Election looms ahead. Furthermore, Zahwani also states that through Seligi Mantap Brata Operation, the security operations on objects related to the General Election, including election campaign activity, has been carried out. More than 1,200 joint personnel have also been deployed for the security of polling stations across Riau Island. On the other hand, in ensuring the prime conditions of Riau Island police personnel prior to the security operations, 911 members have been medically checked and proved ready to perform their duties. Moreover, Zahwani stressed that his party maintained intensive coordination with related stakeholders, including General Election Commission (KPU), Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), Task Force, and other governmental officials to ensure the smooth process of election. “The Riau Island Regional Police reaffirmed the commitment in giving the best protection and service to the people while ensuring neutrality throughout the election process,” said Zahwani.
