He emphasized on Tuesday (5/3/2024) the necessity of consensus, noting that regardless of opinions or outcomes, they should be handled appropriately through legal channels. Amidst the vote tallying process, Riau Province remains relatively peaceful, with ongoing efforts to maintain tranquility. Chief Iqbal directed the team to ensure maximum security, preventing any disturbances until the process concludes. Furthermore, he said that vote counting at the district level has been completed, with provincial-level counting set to commence on 7 March 2024 at the Aryaduta Hotel in Pekanbaru. (mg/fa/pr/nm)
