Riau Regional Police Held Journalistic Work Competition

Inp.polri.go.id – Riau. In maintaining the security and safe situation during Election, Riau Regional Police held a competition of journalistic work. The event held in the Main Atrium of Living World Mall in Pekanbaru was attended by Riau Regional Police Chief Inspector General M. Iqbal and Head of Indonesian National Police (INP) Public Information, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko. “We want to make sure the election goes securely, peacefully, conducive, and full of integrity,” said the police chief on Saturday (3/9/2024). The event has logged approximately 2,676 journalistic works. The thousands of those journalistic arts includes 418 written journalism, 240 photojournalism, and 140 video journalism. Then, there are 1241 photojournalism and 258 video journalism from INP members. While from the public there are 341 photojournalism and 38 video journalism. On the other hand, Trunoyudo, representing INP PR Chief Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, appreciates the positive activity. He states that journalism has an important role as the agent of change by giving messages to mass. “We appreciate events like photo exhibitions and journalistic work competitions such as this held by Riau Regional Police,” said Trunoyudo.
