Inp.polri.go.id - Rote Ndao. Rote Ndao Sub-regional Police Chief Superintendent Mardiono officially opened the 2026 Sub-regional Police Chief (Kapolres) Cup Mobile Legends esports tournament at the local police headquarters on Wednesday (24/6/2026).

"This tournament is a platform for the younger generation to channel their talents, improve their skills, and build character through healthy and sporting competition," he said during the opening.

Held to celebrate the 80th Bhayangkara Day, the multi-tier competition serves as a regional qualifier for the upcoming East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) and national Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) Chief Cup tournaments.

Three local teams of Guardian Earth, Leak Lemahan, and JB +62 competed in the event. Team Leak Lemahan won first place after scoring consecutive 2-0 victories, securing their spot to represent Rote Ndao at the East Nusa Tenggara Police level.

Chief Mardiono said that the initiative aims to provide a positive outlet for youth, steering them away from negative activities like brawls and drug abuse.
