Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. Immigration Office in Denpasar has brought a Russian woman to court for discarding her passport without explanation.
The Russian woman, identified as Anzella Khoroshkova, was previously detained by Gianyar municipal police (Satpol PP) on 5 July 2024 for disruptive behavior.
Immigration Office Chief Ridha Sah Putra said on Friday (2/8/2024) that Khoroshkova entered Indonesia in late 2023 and engaged in various offenses, including refusing to pay restaurant bills.
Her discarded passport raised suspicions that she intended to evade immigration checks.
The case has been lodged to the Denpasar Prosecutor’s Office, with potential penalties including up to three months in prison or a fine of up to Rp 25 million, as stipulated by Immigration Law No. 6 of 2011.
Denpasar Immigration has requested a temporary travel document from the Russian Embassy for her deportation. Since January 2024, 31 foreigners have been deported from Bali for various violations.
