Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Task Force for Combating Human Trafficking Crimes (Satgas TPPO) from Indonesian National Police (INP) has been conducting enforcement operations between June 5 to June 28, 2023, resulting in the identification of 668 individuals as suspects.

"The number of suspects involved is 668," confirmed Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, the Head of Public Affairs Bureau of INP Public Relations Division in Jakarta on Thursday (June 29, 2023).

He further revealed that as of June 28, 2023, a minimum of 578 police reports have been filed in connection with the case.

"In addition," he added, "the total number of individuals rescued as TPPO victims amounts to 1,861."

Regarding the employed methods, a significant majority involved Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) and commercial sex workers (PSK).

He concluded, "There are still four primary methods being utilized. The first method pertains to illegal migrant workers or domestic helpers with 412 cases, followed by 9 cases involving maritime workers (ABK), 167 cases of commercial sex workers (PSK), and 41 cases of child exploitation."
