Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. In commemoration of the 77th anniversary of Bhayangkara Day, the Chief of Indonesian National Police (INP), Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, along with his staff, paid a visit to the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in South Jakarta this morning (30/6/23).
"Today, in commemoration of the 77th Bhayangkara Day in 2023, led by Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the Chief of INP, along with other senior officials and their spouses, conducted a pilgrimage and laid flowers at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery," stated Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, the Head of the Public Affairs Bureau of the INP Public Relations Division, on Friday (30/6/23).
The pilgrimage and flower-laying, he said, were carried out at the graves of former Chiefs of Police and other prominent figures in the INP who have passed away. This act served as a gesture of respect from the Chief of INP and his staff towards their predecessors, he added.
The event began with a ceremony led directly by the Chief of INP and Inspector of General Supervision of INP Commisioner General Ahmad Dofiri as the inspectorate. It was then followed by a moment of silence, during which they remembered and prayed for the former top officials of the INP who had passed away.
The pilgrimage and flower-laying is consistently upheld by the INP during the celebration of Bhayangkara Day. This practice serves as a demonstration of respect and also seeks blessings and prayers for the former top officials of the INP, who have made significant contributions.
