Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Search operations for victims of the landslide at a stone mining site on Gunung Kuda, Cirebon Regency, West Java, were temporarily suspended on Friday evening (30/5/2025) due to safety concerns.

“The search was halted at 5.20 pm due to poor lighting and the risk of further landslides,” said Lieutenant Colonel Mukhammad Yusron, the Commander of the Cirebon Military Command, as quoted by antara news.com.

He explained that plans for night searches using spotlights were canceled as the terrain remains slippery and unstable. As of Friday evening, 12 people have been confirmed dead and nine others injured in the disaster.

Authorities are coordinating with local village heads to verify victim data and plan a more targeted search on Saturday morning.

Residents are advised to stay clear of the site to avoid the danger of further landslides.
