inp.polri.go.id – To support the security of G20 Summit in Nusa Dua, Bali, the Bali Police will utilize 300 units of electric vehicles. The use of electric vehicles is Bali Police effort in supporting the commitment of G20 countries who wants to transition from high-emission energy to low-emission energy. From 300 of electric motorbikes, 100 of them are the gifts from Lazada and Smoot, while other 200 units are from other parties. Bali Police Chief, Inspector General Putu Jayaan Danu Putra, said the electric motorbike uses a battery swap charging system (battery swap). Currently, the bikes are available at hundreds of points in Bali, especially in Badung and Denpasar. "So, you don't have to wait long, you just need to change the battery at a place that we have prepared," explained the Bali Police Chief. The Bali Police Chief himself also conveyed his appreciation for the help from the private sector to the Bali Police to secure the G20 Summit. "This is our collaboration with entrepreneurs in securing the summit," said the Bali Police Chief in his statement, Tuesday (10/11). The Bali Police Chief hopes that the hundreds of borrowed electric motorbikes can be given to the Bali Police after the G20 Summit. At the Lazada Logistics in Badung, Lazada Indonesia's Chief Logistics Officer, Phillipe Auberger said that his party was considering the Bali Police's request. "We lend this electric motorbike for free. We will discuss later (with the Bali Police) for the possibility of borrowing this electric motorbike in the long term," said Auberger. So far, there are 616 electric vehicles for the G20 Summit in Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali. Of that number, 493 cars were for the delegates, while 123 were electric vehicles for security and operations. Not only that, as many as 290 units of electric motorbikes will be used by patrol and escort police during the G20 Summit. In order to support the use of electric vehicles during the G20 Summit, PLN has prepared an ultra fast charging public electric vehicle (SPKLU) charging station. The SPKLU ultra fast charging are spread around the G20 Summit locations.
