Securing the G20 Summit, National Police HQ Will Send Additional 2,000 Personnel

inp.polri.go.id -  The Bali Police will be assisted by more than 2,000 personnel from the National Police Headquarters in securing the G20 Summit. "The National Police Headquarters later will back us up with more than 2,000 personnel," explained Bali Deputy Chief of Police, Brigadier General I Ketut Suardana, at The Nusa Dua, Monday (19/9/22). According to Brigadier General I Ketut Suardana, the G20 Summit will be held on November 15 and 16, 2022. At that time, a total of more than 6,000 police personnel will be deployed. Those personnel consists of 2,340 from the Bali Police, 2,300 personnel from ranks under the Bali Police and 2,000 more from the National Police Headquarters. "We will mobilize more than 6,000 personnel to secure the G20 Summit," explained the Deputy Chief of Police. He also explained that the assistance from the National Police Headquarters was not only to secure the G20 Summit, but also its side events where his party would carried out the Gapura Agung Operation. “Since the first time we held Gapura Agung Operation, the personnel from the National Police HQ have already been in Bali,” stated the Deputy Chief of Bali Police. Currently his party was securing the side events of the G20 Presidency such as Investment and Industry Working Group (TIIWG), Tourism Ministerial Meeting (TMM), and Agriculture Ministerial Meeting (AMM). Various experiences in securing side events continue to be refined for the peak of the G20 Presidency later, and carried out in synergy with related parties.
