Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Indonesian National Police (INP) and the Indonesian Military (TNI) conducted a security drill for the upcoming Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) Summit and High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholders Partnership (HLF MSP) in Bali, scheduled for 1 to 3 September 2024.
The exercise was led by INP’s Head of Security Maintenance Agency,Commissioner General Fadil Imran and Commander of the Joint Defense Area Command II. Marshal M. Khairil Lubis, in Denpasar, Bali on Friday (30/8/2024).
General Fadil emphasized that this exercise demonstrates Indonesia’s commitment to being a safe and cooperative host.
"This drill is not just about showcasing power but reflecting our strong collaboration to assure international relations are positive and secure," he said.
Marshal Khairil confirmed that 13,000 personnel are ready, with all equipment and resources in place.
"Security preparations are nearly complete, with extensive simulations already conducted," he said.
The security operation will use various assets, including K9 units, naval ships, fighter jets, and helicopters. Measures are in place to manage potential traffic disruptions while maintaining smooth operations for both the summit and local activities.
