inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Maluku Regional Police built a security post in the State Islamic Religious College (STAIN) Air Besar, Batu Merah Village, Ambon, as an effort to strengthen security in an area with high levels of community activity.

"The construction of the security post is part of an effort to provide a sense of security for the community, not merely for institutional interests," said Maluku Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Dadang Hartanto, Friday (4/24/2026).

The construction was marked by the laying of the first stone led by Dadang, as well as the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Ambon Branch of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.

The activity, which took place at the STAIN-Air Besar intersection, represents a concrete step towards improving security services to the community and supporting regional social and economic stability.

"This is a form of real collaboration whose benefits are directly felt by the community. The presence of the security post is expected to increase the sense of security in this area," he said.

Dadang emphasized that security is the main foundation for the continuation of social and economic activities in the community.

"Security is often unnoticed when we are at ease. However, it would be a different story in an escalation, bringing significant  impact to the community. Therefore, strengthening the security system must be continuously carried out," he explained.

On the same occasion, a cooperation guideline was signed between the Maluku Regional Police and BRI as a form of strengthening institutional synergy.

BRI Maluku Area Head Wawan Indarno stated that supporting the construction of the Pam Post is part of the company's commitment to creating a safe and conducive environment.

"Security is the main capital in driving economic activity. Therefore, we fully support the construction of this security facility," he said.
