The Head of the Jakarta Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Agency (Diskominfotik), Marulina Dewi, expressed her regret over the vandalism. One of the CCTV cameras reportedly damaged was in the Penjompongan area of ​​Jakarta.

"We deeply regret the vandalism of several CCTV cameras, including in Penjompongan, by irresponsible parties," said Marulina.

Marulina explained that CCTV cameras are public facilities that serve several important functions for the community. In addition to helping prevent and monitor potential crime, they are also used to support public services and regulate traffic.

Therefore, she emphasized that CCTV damage not only impacts government facilities but can also disrupt the functioning of services intended for the benefit of the community.

On the other hand, the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to respect the public's right to express their aspirations in public spaces. The government is also open to various forms of expression of opinion within the regulations.

Marulina urged protesters to express their aspirations in an orderly, safe, and with responsibility. She requested that the demonstration not be accompanied by anarchic actions or vandalism that could result in damage to public facilities.

"We will report any acts of vandalism against public facilities to law enforcement officials for follow-up according to applicable regulations," she emphasized.

She hopes that the expression of aspirations will not result in damage to public facilities built and used to meet the needs of the community.
