inp.polri.go.id - The Director of the General Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police, along with the Purbalingga Police, raided an online gambling operation place in the Bojongsari Village, Bojongsari District, Purbalingga Regency, Friday (19/8/22) night.
At the scene, the police managed to secure six suspects along with the evidence. The six suspects are MAM (29), CSG (27), AW (21), KAW (29), DSA (28) and MAA (43). The evidence that were secured including 1 set of computers, 1 black Infinix mobile phone, 1 silver macbook, 3 savings books, 2 BNI and MANDIRI ATMs Card, 2 cellphones, and 2 BCA and BRI ATM Cards.
Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi along with the Central Java Policemain officials and the Purbalingga Police Chief inspected the location of the raid, Saturday (20/8/2022) morning. The Regional Police Chief said that today they will convey activities related to the disclosure of online gambling cases in the Purbalingga Regency area. "For now, the Central Java Police have succeeded in securing the main perpetrators," he explained.
Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi explained that the six perpetrators each has a role ranging from operator, server liaison, funder, to marketing. From the results of the investigation, this online gambling server is based in Cambodia.
“So there is one suspect who has studied in Cambodia and he studied about servers there, back here he made a slot to be connected to a server in Cambodia,” explained the Police Chief.
His party will continue to investigate the case further to find out if there are other suspects and a wider network.
