inp.polri.go.id – Deputy Directors of BPJS Kesehatan East Java, I Made Puja Yasa, revealed that they are collaborating with the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the East Java Police to follow up on Presidential Instruction No. 1 of 2022, regarding the optimization of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program. "The presidential instruction ordered the police to increase law enforcement efforts against employers, other than state administrators, who have not complied with the payment of JKN program contributions," explained the Deputy Director of BPJS Kesehatan East Java. BPJS Kesehatan East Java cooperates with the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the East Java Police to deal with arrears in contributions. Deputy Directors of BPJS Kesehatan East Java said that there are three things that become the objectives of the JKN Program, including the ease of access for participants to get health services, equitable distribution and quality of services, as well as financial protection in terms of financing health services. "The Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2022 is to ensure these three things are fulfilled. To be able to achieve that, we need to cooperate with various parties, one of which is the police," said the Deputy Director of BPJS Kesehatan East Java. The Deputy Directors of BPJS Kesehatan East Java explained, if the socialization efforts have been carried out but there are still business entities that are in arrears, then mediation efforts will be carried out by the police so that the business entities that are in arrears would eventually pay the debt. “Finally, a litigation process will be carried out if all the above efforts have been taken but there is no solutions. Litigation efforts will be carried out based on Article 55 of Law Number 24 of 2011 concerning BPJS. But again, litigation is only a last resort if the other two methods are not successful," he explained. The Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the East Java Police, AKBP Windy Syafutra added that the basis for the implementation of this activity was the Chief of Police's instructions to carry out law enforcement in the field of social security. "And we are coordinating with BPJS Health to carry out joint socialization regarding the enforcement of compliance with the payment of JKN Program," explained AKBP Windy Syafutra.
