Inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. The South Sumatra Regional Police conducted a massive forest and land fire prevention campaign, reaching 2,415 residents across nine regencies and cities in a simultaneous educational effort.

Involving students from the Police Science College (STIK), First Level Leadership School (Sespima), and Officer Formation School (Setukpa), the initiative educated communities across Banyuasin, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI), Ogan Komering Ulu, Prabumulih, Ogan Komering Ilir, Musi Banyuasin, East Ogan Komering Ulu, Ogan Ilir, and Muara Enim regencies on the dangers of burning land.

"Prevention must begin with public awareness. Through direct education like this, we want to ensure the message not to burn forests and land is truly understood," said South Sumatra Police  Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Nandang Mu'min Wijaya in Palembang.

Field teams executed integrated outreach activities, distributing educational materials, face masks, informative pamphlets, and basic food packages to reinforce community-wide prevention against new fire hotspots.
