inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. The South Sumatra Regional Police have deployed 2,361 joint personnel to ensure the security and smooth flow of traffic during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H homecoming and return journeys.

In addition, 73 security posts have been set up, consisting of 40 security posts, 26 service posts, and 7 integrated posts, spread across main routes, crowded public centers, and vital areas, Saturday (3/14/2026).

South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Sandi Nugroho emphasized that Operation Ketupat Musi 2026 is not merely a traffic control operation, but rather a humanitarian operation focused on serving and protecting the public during Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

"Police personnel will be deployed properly at various points that serve as centers of public mobility, including toll roads, arterial roads, the eastern route, the central route, and several alternative routes," Sandi emphasized.

Each post will provide various services, including security, health care, travel information, and emergency assistance for travelers.

"The presence of toll sections that will be used for this year's homecoming season is expected to help reduce congestion on arterial roads and accelerate public mobility," he concluded.
