Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini clarified on Tuesday (24//2/2026) that not all civil servants are eligible to join the National Reserve Component (Komcad).
While the Ministry of Defense plans to enlist 4,000 personnel from various ministries starting April 2026, candidates must go through rigorous selection criteria and strict quotas set by defense authorities.
“Not every civil servant can become a reserve member. There are legal requirements to meet, and the Ministry of Defense has specific quotas, so it is not an open recruitment for everyone,” Minister Rini explained, as reported by antaranews.com.
The Minister ensured that public services would remain unaffected, as personnel deployment for the 30-to-45-day basic military training will be managed strategically. Currently, the program targets staff aged 18–35.
The Indonesian Army has confirmed its preparation to facilitate training for the initial batch of 4,000 recruits to bolster national defense without disrupting bureaucratic efficiency.
