Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps has established four strategic security clusters for "Operation Ketupat 2026" to ensure smooth travel during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming.
These specialized zones cover toll roads and arterial routes, places of worship and tourist attractions, ferry crossings, and major transit hubs including airports, stations, and terminals.
“We have defined four clusters for this year's security operations so that handling can be more focused and measurable,” said Brigadier General Wibowo, the Director of Registration and Identification, on Wednesday (25/2/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.
He identified West Java as a critical fatigue point for travelers from Sumatra, noting that toll road congestion often peaks at rest areas during Iftar. To mitigate gridlock, the Traffic Corps will implement situational traffic engineering, including contra-flow, diversions, and partial one-way systems in bottlenecks with limited road capacity. The operation aims to prioritize public safety and comfort during Indonesia's largest annual migration.
