Student, Crew Missing After Fishing Boat Sinks in Banda Sea

A student from the Fisheries Business Middle Schoo; (SUPM) in Ambon, along with two crew members of the fishing vessel KM Sweet, remained missing after the boat sank in the Banda Sea. The student, Imaneual K. Ririhena, was part of a training program when the incident occurred on Monday. " He was  a second-grade student at SUPM who was participating in training," said senior teacher and Public Relations Officer of SUPM Ambon, Leo Tomasila i Saturday (16/3/2024), as reported by antaranews.com. Five crew members have been rescued, including two other SUPM Ambon students, by the fishing vessel KM Jondri 03. The joint Search and Resecue (SAR) team continues to search for the three missing victims in the waters of Gorom, East Seram Regency.  (mg/inp/pr/nm)
