Inp.polri.go.id - Sugapa. Chief of the Intan Jaya Sub-regional Police Superintendent Afrizal Asri,  said on Friday (26/1/2024) that things are getting back to normal in Intan Jaya following recent attacks by an Armed Criminal Group (KKB). He confirmed that local residents are gradually resuming activities, though the situation has yet entirely back to normal. Some locals feel uneasy due to the recent shooting incidents by the KKB. "It's true that community activities are slowly getting back to normal, although many kiosk owners are still serving customers by partially opening their stalls," Chief Afrizal explained. Currently, the local airport's operations have been given the green light to resume. However,  Chief Afrizal noted that airline companies are still holding off on public flights to Sugapa. "We've allowed flights to Sugapa, but airline companies are delaying or canceling public flights," he said. (mg/ay/pr/nm)
