Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Sultan Rif'at Al Fatih eventually had the change to directly meet the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to convey his gratitude for his treatment.
Sultan is a student of Brawijaya University Malang who was the victim of a fibre optic cable accident on Jalan Pangeran Antasari, South Jakarta, on 5 January 2023.
After 117 days of treatment at the INP Bhayangkara Hospital in Kramatjati, Sultan is able to speak, albeit with the help of speaking aids.
"During my treatment, I was in a supportive environment to get well quickly. I am in the right environment to support my recovery. Thank you for your attention and kindness, INP Chief," he said in a video of his meeting with General Sigit on Tuesday (26/12/2023).
Sultan told General Sigit that he would make the most of his life, saying that he considered his physical limitations a motivation.
"I don't want to waste the opportunity in my second life, INP Chief," he said.
In response, Chief Sigit encouraged and motivated Sultan, saying that great people are born out of difficult processes and challenges.
"(Sultan) must believe that great people are born from the many big problems he faces, if he can get through it, I am sure Sultan can be a great person," he explained..
