inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. The Tangerang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is still collecting data on floodwaters in the area as the people of Pakuhaji District began evacuating on Monday (January 12, 2026).

"People have begun to evacuate to higher ground as our homes are starting to be flooded. The flooding is caused by the water in the rice fields overflowing into residential areas," said Sajali, a Pakuhaji resident.

Sajali said the rice fields have been submerged since yesterday due to two days of continuous heavy rain.

"The rice fields are no longer visible because they are covered by floodwaters. This evening, the water has submerged the bridge, and tonight it has spread to residential areas," he explained.

The Head of the Tangerang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Ahmad Taufik, stated that his agency is still collecting data on floodwaters in residential areas. There are at least around 1,000 people with more than 1,014 heads of families (KK) affected by the flood.

Due to the flooding, some were forced to evacuate to safer locations. Meanwhile, the Tangerang BPBD team is currently conducting evacuation efforts and collecting data on residents affected by the flooding.
