inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Forensic Laboratory Center took several samples from Taman Puring Market in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. This was done to determine the cause of the fire.
The Head of the Fire Accident Sub-Division of INP, Police Senior Superintendent Henry Siahaan, explained that the confiscated evidence included charcoal, cables, and electrical equipment. These items will be examined in a forensic laboratory within a week.
"(The results of the sample examination) will be available in about a week," he explained to reporters at Taman Puring Market, Jakarta, Wednesday (7/30/2025).
He said the samples will be examined in-depth using scientific methods to shed light on the fire case.
"We cannot yet determine the exact cause because it needs to be confirmed with the equipment in the lab," he said.
