inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has implemented the Affordable Food Movement (GPM) through the distribution of SPHP rice. In 2025, the National Police exceeded the target of distributing 195,635 tons of SPHP rice.
This was conveyed by the INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo during a working meeting with Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) at the DPR Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday (1/26/2026). General Sigit initially outlined the initial target for SPHP rice distribution by Bulog in 2025, which was 1.5 million tons.
"To maintain rice price stability, we are implementing the GPM through the distribution of SPHP rice. Initially, Bulog's target for SPHP rice distribution in 2025 was 1.5 million tons," said General Sigt.
Before the National Police's involvement, Bulog's remaining target for that year was approximately 1.3 million tons. Of the remaining Bulog target, General Sigit said, INP was given a distribution target of 10%, or 131,882 tons.
After the police involvement, General Sigit stated that the distribution of SPHP rice provided to the National Police exceeded the target. As of January 8, 2026, 195,635 tons had been distributed to 142,873 locations.
Because the target had been exceeded, the distribution of SPHP rice had been temporarily suspended. He stated that the distribution of SPHP rice, which exceeded the target, had succeeded in maintaining price stability.
"In connection with exceeding the target, effective January 8, 2026, the GPM program, which includes the distribution of SPHP rice, has been temporarily suspended," said the INP Chief.
