Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. President Joko Widodo, or widely known as President Jokowi, inaugurated on Tuesday (21/3/23) the Papua Youth Creative Hub building, which is set to provide a space for empowerment and human resource quality improvement for young people in Papua.
"This morning, I feel very proud we are able to grant the request of 23 young Papuans, whom I invited to the Presidential Palace, for a space for empowerment and human resource quality improvement through the establishment of the Papua Youth Creative Hub in Jayapura," President Jokowi said in his speech.
He conveyed his hopes that such a building to accommodate youth empowerment can be developed in other regions and said that he has discussed this issue with Chief of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Budi Gunawan, saying that the plan is expected to be materialized next year.
"I have asked for the construction of similar buildings in East Nusa Tenggara , West Papua, Maluku, and Aceh, to start this year and complete by next year. We can copy everything that is available here, which is very good," the president said.
The inauguration was attended by several notable figures, including BIN Chief Budi Gunawan, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, Acting Governor of Papua Muhammad Ridwan Rumasukun, and PYH founder Simon Tabuni.
