inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono stated that training for 30,000 prospective managers of the Merah Putih Village/Sub-District Cooperative (KDKMP) will be completed in early August 2026 before they are placed in cooperatives operating in various regions.
Ferry stated that after the training is complete, the managers will be directly placed in their respective cooperatives to support the operational program, which is a government priority.
"The program will conclude in early August, and the managers will be placed in 30,000 KDKMP," said Ferry on Thursday (7/9/2026).
In addition to preparing human resources, he stated that the government will also continue the verification and validation process for cooperative buildings before handing them over to village governments.
He stated that after construction of the cooperative buildings is complete, the government will conduct verification and validation before handing over the buildings.
According to him, the KDKMP will become village assets, not the property of the Ministry of Cooperatives. He stated that the public needs to understand this status as KDKMP is a village-owned economic institution that is expected to strengthen the local economy.
According to data from the KDKMP Information System (Simkopdes) as of July 9, 2026, of the 35,870 verified cooperative development sites, approximately 20,000 units are currently under construction.
Meanwhile, approximately 15,500 KDKMP have been 100 percent completed.
"The KDKMP Program is one of the national priority programs aimed at accelerating economic growth by up to 8 percent while reducing the gap between urban and rural areas by strengthening the cooperative-based economy," explained Ferry.
