inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, ensured that BPJS Kesehatan (Social Security Agency for Health) insurance services can be enjoyed by all citizens without discrimination, including those receiving Premium Assistance (PBI) contributions, whose contributions are paid by the government.
"What makes me happy is that BPJS Health insurance, whose contributions are paid by the government, which costs the government IDR 47 trillion annually, is being served very well, without any discrimination," said Muhaimin on Thursday (7/9/2026).
According to him, the services provided by hospitals have been running well and do not discriminate between patients based on their membership status.
He emphasized that good social security services are the result of mutual cooperation between the government, the community, and the business world.
The government covers the contributions of PBI participants, while independent participants and companies contribute through premium payments, so that the entire community can support each other when facing health and employment risks.
"In this case, all patients, both BPJS Employment and BPJS Health, feel they are receiving excellent service. This is what we hope will be true across the country, so that BPJS Employment and Health are the insurance that truly provide good social security services," emphasized Muhaimin.
He encouraged people with financial means to become independent participants and pay their premiums consistently.
He believes that compliance with premium payments not only ensures the sustainability of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program but also serves as a form of social solidarity, as it helps others in need of healthcare services.
