Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Thousands of workers gathered at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium in Senayan, Central Jakarta, to observe International Labor Day on Wednesday (1/4/2024).

Workers were seen wearing various outfits, including the distinctive orange shirts of the Labor Party, the white and blue uniforms of the Federation of Indonesian Metal Workers' Unions (FSPMI), and red and black attire, as reported by antaranews.com.

To ensure security, Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police deployed 3,454 personnel, emphasizing a firearm-free and humane approach. 

Jakarta Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi highlighted pre-briefing personnel checks. 

He explained that the police would prioritize humane measures during security operations. Personnel on duty were prohibited from carrying firearms.
