inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto emphasized that the Eid al-Fitr Allowance (THR) for private sector workers must be paid in full no later than seven days before Eid al-Fitr and cannot be paid in installments.

The amount is one month's salary or one month's wages for workers with at least one year of service. Meanwhile, for workers with less than one year of service, the THR is paid proportionally.

"The THR is given to workers with at least one year of service and the amount is one month's wages, while for workers with less than one year of service, the amount is paid proportionally," explained Airlangga on Tuesday (3/3/2026).

Based on data from the Social Security Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan), the number of wage earners is recorded at 26.5 million workers. With this figure, he said the total THR to be paid by the private sector is estimated to reach IDR 124 trillion.

Airlangga hopes that the distribution of THR in the private sector will significantly boost national consumption. 

"This is expected to significantly boost national consumption," he said.

On the same occasion, Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that he had issued a Circular Letter (SE) regarding the implementation of THR payments in 2026.

He urged companies to pay THR to their employees more quickly. "We request that THR be paid no later than the latest, and companies are encouraged to do so more quickly," said the Minister.
